It is an honor for me to see one of my paintings in the Daily Deviation gallery!
I registered for this weekend and I am still discovering Deviantart.
The painting selected is dear to my heart, it represents an aspect incarnated in the representations of many pre-Raphaelite and symbolist painters :
John William Waterhouse, Dante Gabriel Rosetti, Frederic Lord Leigthon, John Everett Millais, Edward Robert Hughes...but also Albert Moore, Alfons Mucha, Gustave Klimt, Alma-Tadema...
In the 19th century until the early 20 th century, many painters have studied the wild beauty of the world, and transcended, mentioned in their work.
It was still painting the myths, legends, the beauty and power of the elements. They studied the archetypes and used them in their work, as beautiful metaphors or allegories.
The man was not the center of the world.
He did not always ...
The empress, the "imperial twilight", that's my thoughts on this wild world, this is my tribute to the metaphoric Great Queen, that was called mother goddess or Medb for the Irish people.
The Godess can be sacrificed, she perpetually reborn.
I invite you to read the interview conducted in a beautiful English village : Chagford.
We talked about this painting with Howard and Rex, here is the link :
